The Classic Gimlet Cocktail is a super simple mixed drink to create from your home bar. It's made with Gin, simple syrup and lime juice for a perfectly balanced cocktail for an evening at home or entertaining guests.

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces London Dry Gin
  • 1 1/2 ounces simple syrup
  • 1 1/2 ounce lime juice
  • ice
  • lime slices for garnish

Instructions

  • Add ice to a cocktail shaker.
  • Next add the gin.
  • Pour in lime juice.
  • Add simple syrup.
  • Add the top of the shaker and shake vigorously.
  • Strain into coupe glasses.
  • Garnish with a slice of lime.

Notes

  • Best Gin: London Dry Gin - we like Tanqueray
  • Substitute Vodka: Use your favorite, Titos or Smirnoff are great options.
  • Simple Syrup: Made with equal parts sugar and boiling water. Stir until dissolved. Cool before using.
  • Rose's Lime Juice can be used in place of the lime juice and simple syrup.
  • Serve: Straight up or on the rocks.
