Gin Sour

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces London Dry Gin
  • 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 3/4 ounce simple syrup
  • lemon twist for garnish
  • ice

Instructions

  • Pour gin into a cocktail shaker with lemon juice and simple syrup.
  • Add ice and shake vigorously.
  • Pour into an old fashioned glass.
  • Fill with crushed ice and garnish with a lemon twist.

Notes

Variations:
Add a few drops of Angostura bitters for garnish.
Add 1/2 of a pasteurized egg white to the ingredients to make a frothy cocktail. Don't add the ice until you have shaken the mixture for 30 seconds. Add the ice and shake another 30 seconds.
