- 3 slices thick cut bacon
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 large onion sliced thin
- 14 oz slaw mix shredded cabbage and carrots
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
Cut bacon into small slices and add to a skillet. Cook over medium heat, turning to brown both sides until crispy.
Remove bacon to a paper towel lined plate to drain and set aside.
Melt butter into bacon grease and add onions, slaw mix along with salt and pepper.
Cook over medium heat, stirring often until vegetables are softened and just start to caramelize.
Stir in bacon and serve immediately.
