Ingredients
For the Cake

all purpose flour

sugar

teaspoon
baking soda

teaspoon
kosher salt
1

butter
melted
1
cup
boiling water
2
eggs
beaten
1
teaspoon
vanilla extract
1
teaspoon
almond extract
1/2
cup
buttermilk
For the Icing
1/2
cup
butter
softened
4
cups
powdered sugar
1/4
cup
milk
1/2
teaspoon
vanilla extract
1/2
teaspoon
almond extract
1/4
cup
of sprinkles
optional
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°.
Add flour, sugar, baking soda and salt together in a mixing bowl and whisk together.
Add melted butter and boiling water and mix to combine.
Mix in eggs, vanilla, almond extract and buttermilk.
Pour into a well greased 11 x 17 inch sheet pan.
Bake for 15- 18 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Remove from oven and place on a wire rack to cool.
Mix icing together by combining butter, powdered sugar, milk, vanilla and almond extract. Use an electric mixer to whip the icing if desired.
Spread over cooled cake and top with sprinkles if desried.
