Salted Caramel Cookie Bars

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup browned butter cooled slightly
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup caramel bits
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped toasted pecans
  • 1/2- 1 teaspoon Maldon Flake Salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Add browned butter to a mixing bowl and add sugars, mixing well with an electric mixer. Add egg and vanilla and continue to beat until combined.
  • Add flour and mix until well combined.
  • Add caramel bits, chocolate chips and toasted pecans. Mix together until well combined. Press into a 9 x 13 -inch pan.
  • Bake for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and cool for 5 minutes. Remove from pan and cut into bars.
  • Serve warm or a room temperature.
