Vidalia Onion Spread

Ingredients

  • 1 large Vidalia Onion diced
  • 1 heaping tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons prepared horseradish
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon malt vinegar

Instructions

  • Add olive oil to a large skillet with onion and garlic. Cook over medium heat 2 minutes. Add white wine vinegar and cook, stirring often until liquid has evaporated and onions start to caramelize.
  • Add mayonnaise to a medium- size bowl and add in onion mixture, dijon mustard, horseradish, sugar, salt and malt vinegar.
  • Stir until well combined.
  • Cover and refrigerated until ready to serve.
