A Tieks by Gavrieli Review just in time for holiday shopping and list making!
When this pretty little blue box arrived on my door step I was double busy and some sort of excited! I was getting ready to speak at Chopped Con, my first food blog conference.
Being a speaker, I wanted to dress a little nicer than my everyday jeans and sweatshirt attire. I enlisted the help of my sister in law, who is way more fashion savvy than I am! She helped me find a great outfit and a pair of Tieks ballet flats was all I needed to complete my look.
This is a shot of me and my Mom from Chopped Con. She was super sweet to go with me and we had the best time! There was a little party the night before the conference and we thought it was just a short walk from the hotel. It was like 12 blocks and quite a little jaunt! By the end of the night we were pretty tired but my feet were not, thanks to my tieks!
I knew the tieks were the best shoes for me to wear to the conference but I didn’t expect to wear them much after that. I do not live in the city where there are sidewalks and paved driveways. I live on a ranch, in the country where there is dirt, mud, and gravel.
I find myself slipping on my tieks every day. I try not to wear them out to the barn but on occasion it happens. Tieks are made from the finest Italian leathers making them so soft but still durable. I have been so pleased with how they have held up.
A few weeks ago I had parent-teacher conferences, so I put on clean jeans, a good shirt and my tieks and headed out the door. My husband called as I was leaving the school and asked if I could feed the heifers before dark. It was my first time using the new feed box and um let’s just say I had a little trouble. I ended up hopping out of the truck (forgetting that I was wearing my beloved Tieks) and stepping in some … uh, yeah that stuff that happens. When I realized what had happened I figured my shoes were toast. Surprisingly, I was able to clean them up with just a damp towel and they are as good as new!
I don’t have what I would call good feet. I have one foot that is wider than the other and I have trouble finding shoes that are really comfortable. Last weekend I had been grocery shopping and then started testing recipes and I was wearing my sneakers. When I realized that my feet were hurting, I went and slipped on my Tieks and my feet immediately felt better. I continued cooking and at that moment realized what a difference the tieks have made to my feet! The little blue soles have just the right cushion for all day comfort.
I chose the matte black to match my outfit for the conference but there are so many fun colors in the Tieks Boutiek to choose from. These are my favorites and I secretly want a pair in every color!
Each pair of tieks comes with a handy little bag for your tieks and another tote bag for your heels or other shoes. You can see from the photos how tieks fold together to make them so easy to slip in your purse while you are traveling! How handy is that?
So if you are wondering if Tieks are worth the price, yes in fact they are. Tieks are the most comfortable ballet flats, plus they are durable and so cute and stylish. Tieks come in whole sizes and if you have wide feet they suggest ordering a size up. I ordered my regular size and I might try a size up next time but I’m pretty happy with how they fit.
So which color would you choose?
