I have lived in the southeastern corner of Alabama for 59 years and most cooks I know use Old Bay seasoning (or 3  B’s) when they fry shrimp. Your statement must be your area’s preference. To each his own. You don’t have to use it but I can’t wait to try this method with buttermilk!!]]></description>

One of my GGrandfathers on my mother’s arrived Charleston South Carolina aboard the Bona Nova 1640. Pierre Robards was the first Huguenot ministers to Charleston. Check him outline. I am as Southern as one can be. You have no idea what you are talking about.
