PlanetBox Lunch Box Review just in time for back to school!
If you know me at all, you will know that I’m in total denial that summer is just about to end and school is just around the corner. Well, I’m trying to be more prepared for our early start back this year.
Last year we registered the boys to their new school the day before school started. No school clothes, no supplies – I was not even close to ready! We have a four day school week, which I love but it makes summer a little on the short side. My kids go back August 6th!! That is seriously just around the corner!
I’m so opposed to the regulations that the government has put on the school lunch programs, it is absurd. I would like the folks who set these regulations to have a tray or two of these tiny lunches and see how they like it. I assure you that they would be changing the rules.
My kids are never satisfied with the school lunch, especially the high schooler. The amount of food they give the kids is so small, seriously high schoolers are being fed portions that I would expect a kindergarten kid to get. It has me a little fired up, as if you can’t tell. So this year I will be doing a lot of lunch packing.
I was thrilled to find the PlanetBox lunch boxes. When it arrived my husband and I were so impressed at the quality and durability. PlanetBox is made like things used to be. Something that my boys are going to be toting around needs to be made sturdily and PlanetBox is just the ticket.
I love that it is stainless steel and pops right in the dishwasher! The bag is easy to wipe clean and it’s insulated. There are plenty of pockets for snacks and even drink pouches. This is going to make packing lunches so much easier!
My kids love the compartments, so that the food doesn’t touch. You don’t have to worry about your fruit yucking up your sandwich. Another big bonus is how easy it is to open and close. Once my boys had lunch containers that were impossible to open. Even the teacher couldn’t open it and I got a very stern talking to about my lunch containers. Not cool.
I love not needing the bulk pack of plastic baggies not to mention the little containers that the boys never bring back. It is so easy to get good portions with all of the compartments and I don’t have to worry about my boys getting enough to eat. I love it!
PlanetBox has several shapes and sizes of lunch boxes and the carriers come in a great variety of colors.

Emmet loves those little lunch packs from the grocery store so I got creative and we made our own. The pizza ones are always his favorite. I cut flour tortillas into small pizza crusts using my cookie cutters. I added some marinara sauce to the little dipper cup, included sliced pepperoni and shredded cheese and we had DIY mini pizzas! I included some sweet grapes and he was one happy little guy.
You can find your PlanetBox at Amazon and PlanetBox. I’m going to be ready for school this year, are you?
