    Peanut Butter Swirl Cake Brownies

Here I go again with the peanut butter and chocolate!  Lately I can't get enough chocolate and these hit the spot for me plus they were great to go in the guys lunches.  These are more of a cake brownie than I usually make, but man are they satisfying!  Rich chocolate with the crunchy peanut butter topping, need I say more?  I love simple brownie recipes that call for ingredients that you have on hand ,not fancy chocolate that has to be melted in the double boiler.  Not that I don't love those  spectacular creations, but most days I need something that's easy to have ready by the time I've fried the hamburgers, you know what I mean?  What is your easy go to dessert?

    Peanut Butter Swirl Cake Brownies

    Ingredients:

    ½ cup butter, softened

    ¾ cup sugar

    4 eggs

    1 tablespoon vanilla extract

    ⅔ cup flour

    ¾ cup cocoa powder

    ½ teaspoon baking powder

½ cup peanut butter (I used crunchy, but use creamy if you have to!)

    ⅓ cup powdered sugar

    2 tablespoons milk

    Cooking Directions:

In a large mixing bowl cream butter and sugar.  Add eggs and vanilla, beating well.  In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder.  Gradually add dry ingredients  into butter mixture, stirring until well combined.  Pour into a greased 8 x 8 inch pan.  Set aside.

In a medium size bowl combine peanut butter, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.  Dollop onto brownie batter by tablespoonfuls.  Swirl with a knife or spatula.  Bake at 325 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

    Enjoy!
