Oven Roasted Shrimp is an easy and tasty way to prepare shrimp. There’s no waiting on the water to boil! Only olive oil, sea salt & pepper and then a little garlic butter for dipping. So simple and so delicious. My family loves shrimp rather battered and fried or just dipped in butter, it’s always a treat. I used to always boil the shrimp and sometimes the texture was a little rubbery, but in the oven it always seems to be just right. It would be easy to jazz these up with some fresh herbs added to the olive oil. Go ahead experiment!
Oven Roasted Shrimp
3 pounds shell on shrimp, thawed, rinsed & drained well
I used 27-30 count
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1/2 cup butter
1 garlic clove, smashed
Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. In a shallow roasting pan or cookie sheet, spread shrimp into a single layer. Drizzle olive oil over shrimp, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toss shrimp to coat evenly. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until shrimp is pink, curled and cooked through. Meanwhile, heat butter and smashed garlic clove in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally. Remove garlic clove and serve with shrimp. It’s that easy!
