In reply to Kathleen. Hi Kathleen: I used a straw, and the holes weren't too big. Just big enough to get the sweet milk and pineapple into the cake nicely. Not too much (I worried about that) but it was perfect for us.

In reply to Milisa. Hi! This is the best.cake.ever! I can see by the dates of these comments that I am really late trying this yummy recipe, but it is excellent in 2020 as well!! When I frosted it, I added dollops of lemon curd, and "marbled" it in. I loved the extra lemon flavor (I can never have too much lemon)! Thanks for the great recipe! It looks and tastes like I slaved over it forever!!

Hi Kathleen,
You can use the end of a wooden spoon or a chopstick – it doesn’t really make too much difference. Just try to space them evenly. I hope you enjoy it!

Hi Milisa, what do you use to poke the holes in the cake? It’s in the oven now, but I wasn’t sure how big the holes were supposed to be. TIA!

Absolutely LOVEEEE this cake !!!!! Instead of condensed milk I use a can of coconut cream!!!! N grate a little lemon on top when it’s completely done !!👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 AMAZING !!!!! Thanks for sharing !!!
