I think if you left out the butter, it would be fine to can, but I haven’t tried it.

Is this recipe suitable for canning? I wasn’t sure since there is butter which can be perishable without refrigeration. What if the butter is omitted?

Hoping this tightens up as it is a syrup at this point. Very good flavor, however. Followed the directions as written for three times the amount.

This recipe is absolutely delicious!! I shared it with two friends who gave glowing reviews and quickly took figs from my trees and made their own from your website recipe! I used organic honey and pure Finlandia butter and increased the cinnamon!
Thank you for such a healthy treat made with my July figs! Infact, I am eating some on an English muffin as I type!
