I don’t see any reason why not. I’ve used the juice from a can of pineapple in lots of recipes and to make pineapple lemonade. I hope you try it.

Hi Lila,
Simple syrup is just a combination of equal parts sugar and water, heat the water, doesn’t have to be boiling and stir until sugar is dissolved.
