Living on a ranch, we don’t really have set work days and days off. They are all the same, weekends or week days, the cows still have to be fed and checked. Especially this time of year when the babies start coming along. So we use any excuse to have a little some family fun and this weekend a little Chinese New Year appetizer party was in order.
I have finally gotten used to Cody being away at college during the week and it’s really nice that he is home on the weekends. I always make a trip to Walmart to get stocked up before he comes home. That kid can really eat me out of house and home. Seriously!
The kids were just saying how long it had been since we had eaten egg rolls so on my weekly shopping trip, I made sure to pick up a few boxes of Tai Pei® Egg Rolls and Spring Rolls plus I found some Pot Stickers that sounded too good to resist. I knew the kids would be thrilled.
Chinese New Year celebrates the wish of “good fortune” to all in the year ahead, with traditional appetizers and red-envelope gifts. This is the year of the sheep. The year has just begun, but there are so many exciting things happening for our family this year. Good fortune is definitely headed our way.
The Tai Pei® Egg Rolls and Spring Rolls are loaded with traditional style and flavor with chicken, pork or shrimp. They are authentic Asian appetizers and are ready in a jiffy. I popped the egg rolls and spring rolls in the oven and they came out crispy and delicious. They are filled with fresh cut veggies and chicken pork or shrimp and taste so good. The dipping sauces that are included are generous and delicious.
I stirred up a quick and Easy Peanut Sauce to go with our appetizers. I love peanut sauce but never have all of the ingredients I need. My Easy Peanut Sauce has 2 ingredients and was a great dipping sauce for our appetizer party.
Just as I pulled the appetizers out of the oven, Tucker came in and didn’t even grab a plate, he just dug right in.
It was just a minute or two and Emmet was right there with him, that kid loves egg rolls!
Cody is usually first in line for the food and he was not far behind in joining in the appetizer party. The boys all loved the egg rolls, spring rolls and pot stickers. Tai Pei® will definitely be on the list for future appetizer parties. So convenient and so delicious!
Be sure to add egg rolls and spring rolls to your list and look for Tai Pei® Good Fortune in Every Box™!
