Strawberry Cheesecake Milkshakes

Strawberry Cheesecake Milkshakes

My youngest son loves ice cream, he wants it first thing in the morning when he gets up, he wants it at lunch time and at supper time and in between meals.  He can’t get enough, well maybe that’s due to the fact that I don’t give it to him every time he asks.  He also loves milkshakes.  So as a treat the other afternoon I made these Strawberry Cheesecake Milkshakes.  I was thinking about the Strawberry Cheesequake Blizzards from Dairy Queen and since I didn’t just have a cheesecake lying around, I came up with a milkshake.  Let me tell you a little bit of cream cheese takes this over the top.  It was the best milkshake I’ve ever had.  I know you will love it too!

I also wanted to share with you something my older boys have been up to.  If you follow me on facebook or twitter you may have seen this.  I am really proud of them, they are creative.  My boys help with the ranch work and on occasion help the neighbors too.  They are not the type to sit and watch tv or play video games all summer.  In between working cattle and helping with the hay baling, they have been making Barbed Wire Baskets from antique barbed wire found around the ranch.  I created an Etsy store for them and thought y’all might like to take a look.  These would make a great gift, each one is unique and rustic.  If you like them leave us a comment, the boys would be thrilled!  This is their first business adventure.  Thanks!

I used mine to make these yummy milkshakes!

Strawberry Cheesecake Milkshakes

  • 3 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 2 oz softened cream cheese
  • 1/2 to 1  cup sliced strawberries
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 whole graham cracker

Add ice cream, cream cheese, strawberries, milk and vanilla extract to a blender.  Process for about one minute.  Scrape down sides if necessary and process for another 30 seconds or until all combined and smooth.  Pour into 2 glasses.

Place graham cracker in a plastic zip top bag or in a bowl and smash into crumbs.  I used the end of my ice cream scoop for this and it worked like a dream.

Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over milkshakes and drink up!
