Raspberry Mocha for Mom

Raspberry Mocha

The holiday rush is on.  We have planned, shopped for, cooked and have eaten Thanksgiving dinner.  Since then we have cleaned up, done loads of laundry, shuttled kids back and forth and tried to think about Christmas shopping.  That’s what Moms do.

Today I am sharing a coffee with you just for all of you Moms out there.  It is kicked  up with a little raspberry liqueur, or raspberry syrup if you aren’t into liqueurs.

Take a few minutes, make this coffee and just have a few minutes of quiet and enjoy your coffee, you deserve it!   Most days I don’t feel like I have five minutes to spare, do you get to feeling that way too?

Well I’m here to encourage you to take five minutes, really it will be okay.  Maybe the phone won’t ring, the kids won’t holler, the dog won’t beg, the smoke alarm won’t go off.  Yes those are all good possibilities but at least try!  Promise me you will try!  It will make you feel better, I know it made me feel better!

Raspberry Mocha for Mom

  • 3/4 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
  • 1 teaspoon raspberry liqueur (or raspberry flavored syrup)
  • 1 tablespoon whipped cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon chocolate shavings

Heat milk in a saucepan or microwave just until hot but not boiling.  Pour into coffee cup, add coffee, chocolate syrup and raspberry liqueur, stir together.  Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with chocolate shavings.
