My Influencers

A few years ago when I first started my food blog,  I received an encouraging message from Susan at doughmesstic.

It really meant a great deal to me especially coming from someone that I admired.  She said that I should keep doing what I was doing and it was a huge influence on me, so I look to her for advice and inspiration.  Susan keeps it real, sometimes funny, sometimes serious and always creative.  Life has ups and downs and Susan faces challenges head on no matter how difficult and she always has time to answer my questions and share what she has learned traveling the winding road we call blogging. Susan’s first cookbook was published this year and I and she is co-hosting The Mixed Conference later this year and I haven’t even mentioned her amazing cake decorating skills.  She always seems to be on the cutting edge and if we lived on the same block I would say she would be the coolest neighbor ever!

Another of my influencers is the ever famous Georgia Pellegrini. Georgia is passionate, and brave and beautiful!  I was so hyped for her newest book, Girl Hunter to arrive in my mailbox.  I live in a houseful of guys who love to hunt and on occasion they get me out in the wild with a gun.

Can you believe I did this? It was so much fun! I loved reading the tales of Georgia’s adventures.   She not only talks the talk of knowing where your food comes from, she most definitely walks the walk.  She has worked in some of the country’s finest restaurants, she writes, has made many television appearances all while being seriously just like the girl next door. So down to earth and genuinely nice.  Be sure to visit http://georgiapellegrini.com/ for incredible recipes and awesome adventures.

Finally, my third influencer is Lana of Never Enough Thyme… When Lana’s Cooking.  Visiting Lana’s site is like getting a hug from my Grandma. It’s like with each recipe I am greeted by true southern hospitality and comfort food. It always seems like she is inviting you in for supper and her food makes keeps you coming back for more.  I guess it’s a little like coming home for me, it’s familiar and just makes me feel good.  Last year someone posed the question on twitter of which Thanksgiving table you would most like to sit and of course I said Lana’s!

There are so many great blogs out there and I love to hear your favorites!
