King’s Hawaiian Peach Barbecue Pulled Pork

My two older boys play high school six-man football.  It is a blast to watch.  In six-man football the field is 80 yards and the rules vary slightly as does the scoring.  It takes a little getting used to but the scores can really climb and it is seriously exciting.

Hungry teenagers are one thing but hungry teenage football players are a whole other ball game.  Sorry that was my attempt at a joke, I will try to hold them in.  Our family’s favorite game food is barbecue.  Rather we are tailgating at six-man games or home watching Sunday NFL, there has to be barbecue!

I used to own my own barbecue business and generally have that sauce but we still like variety.  I had some fresh peaches and had been wanting to try a peach barbecue and I  found a recipe to start with.

I cooked a pork roast in my slow cooker and shredded it.  I coated it with the peach barbecue sauce and served it up on KING’S HAWAIIAN® Mini Sub Rolls.  We prefer our barbecue served up Memphis style with cole slaw on the sandwich, if you haven’t tried it you must!

Now let me expound upon these new KING’S HAWAIIAN® Mini Sub Rolls. They are so soft and fresh and were the perfect bread for our peach barbecued pork!  KING’S HAWAIIAN® also has sandwich buns, hamburger buns and hot dog buns available.  I can’t wait to try them all.

My family is not usually into leftovers but the kids were begging for more the next day and they even specially requested the Hawaiian buns.  That tells me this was a winner and I know your family will love it too! Make sure to comment and you could win $200 for your next tailgating event!
