Chocolate Cinnamon Cookies


I have a new found love of chocolate and cinnamon together.  These cookies are soft and super tasty.  In fact I can’t stop eating them, I may need a twelve step program.  I drizzled a little white chocolate over the top and wow wee they are yummy!  These would make excellent cookies for a bake sale or for a weekend barbecue.  Bake some up, everyone will love them!

Chocolate Cinnamon Cookies


1/2 cup butter, softened

3/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 egg

1/2 cup sour cream

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour

3/4 cup cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

2 teaspoon cinnamon

1 cup white chocolate chips

Cooking Directions:

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.  In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugars until creamy.  Stir in vanilla, sour cream, and egg.  Add in flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and cinnamon, mixing until well combined.  Drop onto a greased or lined cookie sheet with a medium size cookie scoop or shape into 1 1/2 inch balls.  Bake for 12 minutes or until cookies are firm.  Remove to a wire rack to cool.  Melt white chocolate chips and drizzle over baked cookies.  

*You could stir the (unmelted) white chocolate chips into the batter before baking instead of drizzling them over the baked cookies.  I just think they look fancy this way.
