Blackberry Milkshake Shots

by Milisa on August 19, 2013

It’s a party and I made Blackberry Milkshake Shots!

Miss in the Kitchen ~~

It seems like everything is more fun in miniature size especially desserts.  I made these Blackberry Milkshake Shots for a very special Virtual Baby Shower for Amber of Bluebonnets & Brownies.

Amber's Baby Shower

If  Bluebonnet’s and Brownies is new to you, head on over and take a look around.  You will find some wonderful southern-inspired cooking that will be bringing you back for more!  I can highly recommend the  Chicken Cheese Enchiladas  & Rudy’s Creamed Corn, both to die for. SERIOUSLY!  I have made both recipes and they are among the best I’ve ever ate!

I was so happy to be included in a Texas-sized Virtual Baby Shower for Amber.  She is one of the most genuine and kind people that I have met in the food blog community.  I am so excited for her and her husband!

I would have preferred to go gather some wild Texas blackberries but I settled for what I could find at the market. However, I was able to find some classic Texas ice cream, the one and only Blue Bell Vanilla and these little shake shots were nothing short of delicious.

Make sure to visit all of the blogs who came to Amber’s Virtual Baby Shower!  The links are below the recipe!

So here’s a big, huge congratulations! Boys are so much fun and you are going to be wonderful parents!

Miss in the Kitchen ~~~

These are totally cute! I love the simplicity of the recipe… yet with that fabulous blackberry it will pack a flavor punch! Did I really just say “flavor punch”? Yeah. Lets just go with it. ;)

Oh Miss, thank you so much for your kind words. You made blackberry ice cream for my site years ago, and then too, I was so happy that you did. Blackberries are my favorite berries, and they always make me think of my Nan. She grew them in her backyard, and once a Summer, we’d make a blackberry pie together from the season’s harvest. It’s such a precious memory to me, and both of your recipes bring it to mind. Thank you for celebrating Evan today. And I promise, I will be coming to you, mom of four boys, *often*. I’m going to need all your expertise!
