I picked up some chicken thighs that were on sale at the grocery store the other day. I might have marinated them but didn’t think of it in time, so I decided to make a bold Honey-Sesame Glaze.
We shipped some cattle over the weekend and it was -12 degrees. MINUS TWELVE and snowing. I didn’t have to go out, the guys took care of it all and I stayed in and cooked. I made Honey-Glazed Chicken Thighs, and I stirred up some fried rice to serve with it and the whole clan loved it.
It was so simple and the flavors were fantastic. I will definitely make this recipe often, it was so easy. The kids thought it was one of the best things I’ve ever made.
I am still counting the days until summer. It has warmed up into the forties thank goodness. I was just thinking these chicken thighs would be awesome on the grill. Come on summer time!
Honey-Sesame Glazed Chicken Thighs
Ingredients:
- 10 Chicken Thighs
- 1/2 cup Honey
- 2 tablespoons Sesame Oil
- 1 tablespoon Hoisin Sauce
- 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
Cooking Directions:
Preheat oven to 425°.
Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
Wash chicken thighs (if you like) and pat dry with paper towels. Set aside.
In a shallow dish (I used a pie plate) add honey, sesame oil, Hoisin Sauce, and Soy Sauce. Place in microwave for 30 seconds. Use a whisk to mix sauce together. Dredge chicken thighs in sauce on both sides and place skin side up on lined baking sheet.
Bake for 30 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°.
Enjoy!

Oh how I love honey chicken thighs. These look fabulous!
ok. i want these for dinner tonight. i have chicken begging me to make it for dinner in the fridge anyway. i love honey/sesame flavors together, especially on chicken. my favorite meal at a local restaurant is their honey sesame chicken salad. SO good!
Isn’t it amazing that 40 seems warm? I will never forget those -12 winters living in Minnesota. It made my eye balls hurt. I don’t miss it!
Looks and sounds fantastic, girl!
I am starving and now have a bazillion dishes I think I need to make TODAY…but this one is actually doable and looks perfect for a late lunch. I’ve used chicken breasts for years because they were de-boned; now that I can easily find de-boned chicken thighs I can return to my real love; dark meat. YUM!!
I am partial to chicken thighs. Love these flavors too.
Sesame is one of my favorite all-time flavors. This sounds perfect for me!
I love simple recipes like this, so good!
Honey is my favorite too – and I’m a big fan of thighs…wait that sounds funny. Jim is a breast man…this isn’t coming out right…but I this dish looks great!
I on the other hand am wishing that time would stand still and I could avoid summer as long as possible! It has already been a crazy warm winter here in Georgia, and I am dreading the brutal summer heat.
Looks and sounds like a tasty meal! I’ll have to give it a try.
