Hawaiian Pizza

I know that Hawaiian Pizza is kind of controversial, pineapple isn’t consider an Italian pizza topping but I love it, in fact it’s become my favorite.  I was a die hard pepperoni pizza girl until they built a Old Chicago Pizza not too far from home  There they serve a Hawaiian pizza that is loaded with Canadian bacon, pineapple, roasted red peppers, and a sweet and spicy sauce.  I’ve tried to recreate the sauce at home with absolutely no success.  Okay now for the good part! I was on facebook and saw photos of a new brand of product called Slathern’ Sauce.  Having developed my own barbecue sauce business I am always anxious to try others.  You know I am quite partial to my own sauce even though I have sold the business; however, I am compelled to tell you about this Slathern’ Sauce.  It is as irresistible as its name implies, I’m talking out of this world fantastic!  I used it on steaks, fried chicken tenders and then as the sauce for this fabulous pizza.  Head on over to my reviews page to get more information on this new sauce sensation!  Plus if you leave a comment here you will be entered to win a 16 oz bottle each of Original Slathern’ Sauce and Spicy Slathern’ Sauce!

Tomorrow is pizza day! I’ll have to make an additional small dough for myself and try one of these (or at least as close as I can get it).

I’ve never had a barbeque sauce pizza before, and the pineapple bacon combo is making my mouth water. I’ll have to see if they sell Canadian bacon down here.

Following you on Twitter, FB, rss, and email. I hit the like button for Slather Foods too. :)

I couldn’t find any Canadian Bacon, but I actually like to make it with both!

What a cool idea to use BBQ sauce instead of marinara — bet it gives it some kick! We just had pizza for supper (takeout…) and THEN I read this, of course. :)

Hi, I just read all about the Hawaiin Pizza and it sounds great! I also noticed that you like trying new sauces and wondered if you may like to give some of my Wild n Mild sauce a try? This sauce is in a category of its own to say the least and very versatile with respect to what all you can cook with it as well as how u can cook with it. If you are interested in trying some, I would be glad to send you a couple of free bottles. Let me know a good address to send it to, thanks and happy grilling!!!
