Chocolate Cinnamon Fudge

Are you ready for more fudge?  This is a creamy, delicious fudge with a surprisingly tasty combination of chocolate and cinnamon.  I have made this several times with great results, and even  I’ve given it as a gift that was much loved.

I found this recipe on Pioneer Woman’s Tasty Kitchen by A Cozy Kitchen, which was adapted from Giada DeLaurentiis.  This fudge is so simple, five ingredients and it takes less than 30 minutes to prepare.  I can go for holiday recipes that are quick to prepare due to the fact that work on the ranch certainly doesn’t slow down for the holidays!   This is the perfect homemade gift for those hard to buy for and if you need a few more gift ideas check out my post on gifts for under $20!

Chocolate Cinnamon Fudge

from A Cozy Kitchen

Ingredients:
14 ounces, fluid Sweetened, Condensed Milk

2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon

1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

1 pound Bittersweet Or Semisweet Chocolate Chips

3 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter, Cut Into Pieces

Cooking Directions:

Butter the bottom and sides of an 8 by 8-inch baking pan. Line the pan with a sheet of parchment paper, allowing a couple inches of parchment paper to hang over the sides.

In a medium glass or stainless steel bowl, combine the condensed milk, cinnamon, and vanilla. Stir in the chocolate chips and butter. Put the bowl on top of a saucepan of barely simmering water and stir until the chocolate chips have melted and the mixture is smooth, about 6-8 minutes. (You can also add nuts at this point if you like them). Using a spatula, scrape the mixture into the buttered pan and smooth the top. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm.

Holding the edges of the parchment paper that are hung over the pan, lift the fudge out of the pan and onto a cutting board. Peel off the parchment paper and cut the fudge into 1-inch pieces. Store refrigerated in an airtight container or freeze.

Enjoy!
