Creamy Chicken Roll Ups

This was one of those spur of the moment meals.  I had some cooked chicken fresh basil and kids with bellies growling.  I love chicken and cream cheese together, especially with a little garlic and add in a little fresh basil, yum, yum, yum.  You’ll love how quick this goes together and the taste is amazing.  You can substitute any fresh herbs that you have.  Guaranteed to please!

Creamy Chicken Roll Ups

Ingredients:

1 11 oz can refrigerated bread stick dough

4 oz. cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper

1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic

2 cups chicken, cooked & cubed

1/4 cup parsley, chopped

2 green onions, chopped

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

10 basil leaves

Cooking Directions:

Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees.  On a greased or lined baking sheet, unroll bread sticks and flatten with your hands, pressing seams together.  Set aside.  In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, salt, pepper, and garlic.  Stir in chicken, parsley, and green onions.  Spread evenly over bread dough, leaving about a half-inch around the edges.  Sprinkle cheese over chicken mixture and layer on basil leaves.  On the long side, roll dough over chicken gently to form a log shape.  Seal edges.  Bake seam side down for 25 to 30 minutes, or until crust is browned and cooked through.  Remove from oven to a cutting board and cool for 5 minutes.  Slice into rolls and serve.  Great served with a green salad or fruit salad.

Enjoy!
