Salmon Puffs

The perfect appetizer or afternoon snack.  Quick and easy to make with only three ingredients plus oil for frying.  I have to admit, I love pretty much anything fried, and with cream cheese you really can’t go wrong.  These are pretty rich, but oh so good!  Sometimes instead of a proper Sunday dinner, I make up several different appetizers and everyone loves it.  Check out the appetizer category for more ideas.

Salmon Puffs

Ingredients:

8 oz softened cream cheese

8 oz smoked salmon, shredded

wonton wrappers

vegetable oil

Cooking Directions:

Heat about 2 inches of oil in a heavy pot or cast iron skillet to about 350 degrees.  Mix cream cheese and salmon together and place a teaspoon full on a wonton wrapper.  Dip your finger in a little water and wet all edges of wrapper.  Fold in half to make a triangle, sealing edges and then fold two corners together meeting in the middle.  Repeat with remaining filling.  Fry a few puffs at a time until lightly browned.  Remove to drain on paper towel lined plate.  Serve hot or at room temperature.

Enjoy!
